FilmMaker8 recommends the following smart chargers for your new re-celled Beaulieu 460mAh & 1000mAh NiMH battery packs. The old Beaulieu battery charger you may already own is not a “smart charger” capable of monitoring the battery charging voltage to determine when the battery is fully charged (Negative Delta V). Although the old Beaulieu charger will work for both in camera and external battery charging, it is not recommended and over time will in fact reduce the overall life of your battery. To ensure your new FilmMaker8 NiMH battery pack lasts for years and performs optimally, we recommend customers purchase a FM8 smart battery charger and our Beaulieu in-camera charging circuit modification service. Smart Battery Chargers
* We do our best to provide our customers with blemish-free batteries, as shown in the pictures on this page. Nonetheless, some of our re-celled batteries for sale through our “Trade-In Option” may show signs of wear, including some minor pitting on the battery can from battery acid exposure. In most cases, surface corrosion conditions (battery can pitting) are considerably improved as part of our cleaning and refurbishment process. All acid and corrosion by-products in and outside of the battery pack are neutralized during this process. During disassembly of the battery, we also inspect the case and internal parts. ALL Internal plastic parts, which in most cases have completely disintegrated, are replaced. New nickel strapping is used to weld together the new battery cells for reliable distribution of voltage for the (2.4v and 4.8v 2008 series) and (3.6v and 7.2v 4008 series) battery contacts.

All FilmMaker8 re-celled batteries carry a 90 day warranty. We also carry a selection of smart battery chargers to charge your newly re-celled NiMH battery packs. In-camera fast battery charging is possible (<30min.) using one of our smart chargers and re-celled batteries. Note: The camera battery charging circuit inside your camera must be modified to accommodate our smart chargers and high-output NiMH batteries! Feel free to contact us if you have additional questions, would like to check on battery inventory or have a non-Beaulieu battery pack that you need re-celled.
